Artist Bio
I am a classically trained oil painter living in Topanga Canyon, an artist community tucked in the mountains of Los Angeles. My work explores themes of landscape, memory, rupture and recovery.
A lot of my work is inspired by some challenging yet pivotal experiences: 2020 in NYC during two long and cold Covid winters; leaving Israel the day before Oct 7, 2023 after a visit to my former home; and experiencing the 2025 Palisades Fire of 2025 when my entire Topanga community was evacuated for two weeks.
To process these collective and personal shocks to my system, I turned to my easel.
